Where I live I back on to an open field with wonderful varying views to the West. Plan to take a photo of the same view every day for a year and upload to a dedicated website. Aim in my 50/50 is to acquire the equipment I need and set it up during 2015 to go live from 1st Jan 2016.
One option is to use a weatherproof wildlife camera; this one is supplied by the RSPB and claims to have a 24 hr time lapse facility so it should fit the bill, it also provides a USB upload link to my Mac :
